Tribal Bellydancer and Nia Fan

Dayl discovered the wonders of American Tribal Bellydance in 1999, and has been dancing ever since. Her love of the art started in Tulsa Oklahoma, dancing with 'Gypsy Fire', and continuing in Forth Worth Texas with 'Tribal Evolution'. Dayl enjoys the grounding energy of this style of bellydance, as well as the connection with other ATS performers dancing the same 'language'. Her previous dance experience includes collegiate style cheerleading, African Jazz, and she is currently addicted to 'Nia'. She is a keen henna artist and is learning to play the doumbek.

A bit on bellydance: Bellydance is both a celebration of the female spirit and a physical display of the strength and beauty of women. Its roots can be traced back to the rituals of past matriarchal cultures and to the secular entertainments that evolved as the gypsies travelled through India, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Spain.
